At the initiative of the Karaganda Industrial University, a round table was held today on solving environmental problems of the city of Temirtau, environmental safety of the population, education of a careful attitude to health, to nature. The event was attended by representatives of JSC "ArcelorMittal Temirtau", JSC "Temirtau Electrometallurgical Combine", LLP "Bassel Group LLS" chairman of NGO "Reflection" ecologist Elena Varganova, representatives of the newly created party "Baitak", employees and teachers of the university. The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of improving the environmental situation and protecting the environment of Temirtau.
Following the results of the round table, it was decided to apply to the city akimat with a proposal to develop a program to improve the environmental situation of the city. It was also decided that it was necessary to apply to the Department of Ecology of the Karaganda region to send an authorized representative to work in Temirtau in order to coordinate the work of all state and public structures to improve the environmental situation of the city. Karaganda Industrial University has been instructed to hold a thematic week together with the educational organizations of the city with the aim of environmental education of young people. In addition, it was proposed to develop joint startups and projects on environmental safety and environmental protection.
