According to Order No. 58-PR of 03.04.2008. The Committee of science of MES of RK «On determination of higher education institutions under which open engineering laboratories in 2008» on the basis of Karaganda industrial University, opened such a laboratory. 200 million tenge was allocated for the purchase of equipment for the open-type laboratory – this is a new-generation electronic transmission scanning microscope from JEOL (Japan), which allows studying nanostructured materials.

All of the above equipment is used in the educational process, when performing research works and theses by students, as well as when performing state-funded and non-funded topics and contractual topics. The work that is carried out on this equipment allows you to conduct scientific research in new directions, perform experiments as close as possible to production conditions and improve the scientific level of the teaching staff and employees.
