Representatives of government agencies, business, international technology companies, and the expert community participated in the forum. This year, the key theme of Digital Qazaqstan 2026 was the concept of Industry 5.0: The Power of Connection, reflecting the transition to a more human-centric, sustainable, and interconnected digital economy.
As
part of the business program, participants discussed current issues in the
development of artificial intelligence, the digitalization of public services,
the formation of digital ecosystems, and the implementation of innovative
solutions in urban management and industry. Special attention was paid to
practical use cases of AI and data as a key resource of the new economy.
Representatives
from the Department of Digitalization and Public Services of Astana and JSC
"Astana Innovations" took part in the forum. At the GovTech stand,
the AI Lab concept was presented
as a key element of the city's R&D ecosystem.
AI
Lab is being formed as a unified environment for finding, selecting, testing,
and implementing artificial intelligence-based solutions in various areas of
urban infrastructure. The concept provides for building a full cycle of working
with innovations, including interaction with startups, conducting acceleration
programs, launching pilot projects, and the subsequent scaling of effective
solutions.
An
important element is the AI Council,
which provides expert evaluation and prioritization of technologies applicable
to the city's interests.
An
AI avatar was also demonstrated
as part of the exhibition, which presented the capital's key digital projects
and the possibilities of their application in the daily lives of citizens in an
interactive format.
During
the forum, the capital's delegation held a series of working meetings with
partners and participated in industry sessions, including the round table
"Digital Regions of Kazakhstan."
Following
the results of the forum, JSC "Astana Innovations" signed a number of
memorandums of cooperation with leading technological and educational
organizations. In particular, agreements were reached with MOST Ventures Fund on the development
of joint projects in the field of innovation and artificial intelligence.
An
agreement was also concluded with JSC
"Center for International Programs," aimed at training
qualified specialists in the field of AI and digitalization.
Furthermore, a partnership was established with LLP "NCSPEECH," providing for the creation and joint use of datasets for the development of AI projects. The implementation of this direction will accelerate the introduction of intelligent services and increase the efficiency of digital solutions at the national level.
