CONFERENCE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE “NATION OF BOOK READING” PROJECT

On February 11, Karaganda Industrial University hosted the next conference within the framework of the “Nation of Book Reading” project. This project is aimed at promoting a culture of reading among young people, supporting the spiritual and intellectual development of students, and creating an open dialogue platform for discussing significant literary works.

This time, the participants focused on James Clear’s book Atomic Habits — a global bestseller dedicated to developing useful habits and making gradual changes that lead to significant results. During the conference, participants discussed the author’s key ideas, including the principle of small steps, the importance of a systematic approach to personal growth, and the impact of daily actions on long-term success. The practical recommendations provided in the book, as well as the possibilities for applying them in academic, professional, and personal life, drew particular interest.

The project curator, Tleubergen Karshyga Ordabayevich, emphasized the importance of creating a sustainable reading environment at the university and developing young people’s critical thinking skills through engagement with high-quality literature.

The event was attended by special guests:
– Zhakan Jupar Ryskulovna — Head of the Department of the Resource Language Center of Karaganda Region;
– Ryspekova Gulzhan Melsovna — Head of the Library of Karaganda Industrial University.

The honored guests noted the importance of such meetings for fostering interest in reading, broadening horizons, and shaping an active civic position among students. They emphasized that reading contemporary popular science literature contributes to the development of self-organization, analytical thinking, and personal responsibility for one’s future.

The conference became another step in implementing the “Nation of Book Reading” project, reaffirming that books remain an important tool for personal growth and a source of inspiration for the younger generation.
