From February 11 to 14, the traditional Rector’s Futsal Cup was held at Karaganda Industrial University. The tournament brought together a large number of participants and fans, becoming one of the most vibrant sporting events of this winter. Students from all years took part in the competition, forming teams and demonstrating a high level of preparation, unity, and determination to win.
The matches were played in a round-robin format,
allowing each team to compete against all opponents and fully showcase their
playing skills. The games were exciting and intense: the teams displayed a fast
pace, impressive technique, well-thought-out tactics, and true team spirit.
Fans actively supported the players, creating the atmosphere of a real sports
celebration on the court.
According to the results of the tournament, the
prize places were distributed as follows:
1st place – Team “Shimsayd,” which demonstrated
consistent and confident performance throughout the tournament.
2nd place – Team “Brazil,” noted for its dynamic
attacks and high scoring efficiency.
3rd place – Team “Ajax,” which showed strong
character and determination to win.
At the end of the tournament, the best players
were also recognized. The title of “Best Forward” was awarded to Atazhan
Zhanpolat for his effective and active attacking play. Toktar Nurlaulyet was
named “Best Goalkeeper” for repeatedly saving his team in the most challenging
moments of the matches.
The Rector’s Futsal Cup once again confirmed that
sport unites students, fosters team spirit, and promotes a healthy lifestyle.
