On May 29, the university hosted the traditional Rector’s Graduation
Ball titled “Ball of Flowers.” This evening has long become one of the most
anticipated and beautiful traditions of the university, bringing together
students, faculty members, and guests in an atmosphere of celebration,
gratitude, and warm memories.
The Rector’s Ball is held annually and symbolically marks the completion
of graduates’ student life. For many participants, it is not merely a formal
event but a special moment of farewell to the university, friends, professors,
and the familiar student environment. That is why this tradition remains an
important part of the university’s culture—it helps preserve a sense of
community, continuity between generations, and respect for the university’s
history.
This year, the ball was held under the theme of spring and flowers. The
title “Ball of Flowers” was fully reflected in both the evening’s decoration
and the participants’ attire. Graduates carefully selected their outfits
inspired by spring colors, floral motifs, and a light festive atmosphere. The
hall was decorated with pastel shades, fresh flower arrangements, and

The evening was attended by representatives of the city administration,
members of the local council, as well as representatives of JSC “Qarmet,” the
local metallurgical company. They congratulated the graduates on completing

institutions across the region.
