From April 27 to 28, the Republican Subject Olympiad was held at the
Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev among
students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan
studying in the field of “Metallurgy.”
The Olympiad was conducted in the disciplines “General Metallurgy,”
“Theory of Metallurgical Processes,” and “Technology of Metallurgical
Production.” It brought together the best students from eight higher education
institutions of the country enrolled in metallurgical educational programs.
Karaganda Industrial University was represented by students of the
educational programs “Ferrous Metallurgy” and “Non-Ferrous Metallurgy”:
Tanatarov Meirimzhan Uskemenuly, Asilbekov Nurdaulet Abduserik Ugli, and
Berdibek Nurzhan. The team was supervised by Associate Professor of the
Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Kuatbay Yerbol Kuatbayuly.
According to the results of the Olympiad, a student of our university,
Asilbekov Nurdaulet Abduserik Ugli, took the prize-winning 3rd place and was
awarded a diploma. In the overall team standings, Karaganda Industrial
University also secured 3rd place.
