At Karaganda Industrial University, competitions in national sports were held among students. The event brought together participants who strive to preserve and promote the traditions of Kazakh culture, as well as to demonstrate their agility, strength, and strategic thinking skills.
The competition program included such traditional
games as asyq atu, arkan tartu, togyzqumalaq, and bes asyq. In the asyq atu
contest, students demonstrated accuracy and precision, aiming to knock out
their opponents’ asyqs. Arkan tartu became a true test of strength and team
spirit, with participants showing unity and endurance in an intense struggle.
In the intellectual game of togyzqumalaq, the players displayed strategic
thinking and the ability to calculate moves ahead. In bes asyq, participants
demonstrated agility, coordination, and quick reaction.
The competitions were held in an atmosphere of
friendship and healthy rivalry. Such events contribute to strengthening student
unity, increasing interest in national sports, and preserving the cultural
heritage of the people.
