On April 24, 2026, a
meaningful meeting with students took place at the Karaganda Industrial
University. The event was organized within the framework of a project aimed at
improving environmental culture, implemented by the Department of Internal
Policy of the Karaganda Region in accordance with the ideological concept of
“Taza Kazakhstan.”
The main goal of the
event was to foster young people’s conscious attitude toward the environment,
develop ecological thinking, and promote the principles of a sustainable
lifestyle.
The speakers included:
- Yelena
Petrovna Varganova — ecologist, head of the public association
“Reflection”
- Lyudmila
Olegovna Trushina — Chief Specialist of the State Environmental Control
Department of the Karaganda Region Ecology Department
During the meeting,
experts discussed a wide range of pressing environmental issues. Special
attention was given to environmental protection, conservation of natural
resources, and the importance of responsible treatment of nature as a key value
of modern society.
The speakers also
focused on practical aspects of environmental responsibility: waste separation,
development of daily eco-habits, reduction of consumption levels, and the
implementation of responsible resource use principles. Concrete examples were
provided on how every individual can contribute to improving the environmental
situation through simple everyday actions.
Students showed great
interest in the discussed topics, actively asked questions, and shared their
opinions, which demonstrates a growing level of environmental awareness among
young people.
Such meetings
contribute to shaping an active civic position among students and strengthening
environmental culture in society. It is through such dialogues that the
foundations of a responsible attitude toward nature and the future of the
country are built.
