On October 8,
Karaganda Industrial University hosted a meeting titled “Constitutional
Principles of Integrity: Legal Culture and Anti-Corruption Responsibility of
Youth” as part of the “Law and Order” concept. The event was held with the
support of the branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The students were
addressed by Miras Yauda, Head of the “Zhasyl El” Youth Labour Unit and a
member of the “Adilet” Party, and Altynbek Yesmurzayev, Head of the Temirtau
City Branch of the “Adilet” Party. The speakers spoke about compliance with the
law, personal responsibility, and the role of young people in combating
corruption.
The practical part of
the meeting was an “Anti-Corruption Case Battle: Where Is the Boundary of the
Law?”, with the participation of Samal Ibragimova, Head of the Compliance
Service of KarIU. The students analyzed specific situations and learned to
identify conflicts of interest and corruption risks.
KarIU Ombudsperson
Guldana Dairbekova spoke about protecting students’ rights and opportunities to
receive assistance in disputable situations. The meeting was held in the format
of an open dialogue: participants asked questions, discussed examples, and
jointly sought lawful solutions.
