On April 16, a large-scale
scientific event took place at Karaganda Industrial University — the LVI
Republican Scientific and Practical Conference titled *“Development of Human
Capital, Technical Education, Engineering Science and Innovation as a Strategic
Direction of State Activity.”* The event, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of
the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, brought
together representatives of science, education, government bodies, business,
and the international expert community.
The conference was held
with the support of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of
Kazakhstan and, from the very beginning, set a professional tone for discussing
the development of engineering science, technical education, and human capital.
A welcoming address was
sent by the President of the Academy, academician and honorary professor of the
university, Bakytzhan Tursynovich Zhumagulov, in which he emphasized that
training engineering personnel remains one of the key tasks for the modernization
of Kazakhstan’s economy.
During the plenary
session, distinguished guests also delivered speeches, and messages from
representatives of the scientific and educational community were read. The
participants’ main attention was drawn to presentations by international and
domestic experts devoted to modern engineering solutions, educational models,
and innovative technologies.
One of the significant
events of the conference was the ceremony of signing two memorandums of
cooperation. The first document was concluded between Karaganda Industrial
University and Constructor University, opening new opportunities for academic
exchange and the implementation of joint scientific projects. The second
memorandum was signed within the framework of the republican project “Taza
Kazakhstan” between the university, the Department of Ecology of the Karaganda
Region, and LLP “Gordorservice-T,” and is aimed at solving current
environmental issues and implementing environmentally oriented technologies.
An integral part of the
conference was the ceremonial awarding. On this day, scientists, lecturers, and
university staff who made a significant contribution to the development of
science and education were honored. Special recognition was expressed through
the awarding of diplomas to corresponding members of the National Engineering

As part of the conference,
new educational and scientific spaces were opened. One of the notable events
was the opening of the “Intellect Media Hub” video recording studio,
implemented in a creative format with the symbolic launch of the first “take.”
The new platform is intended to expand opportunities for creating educational
content and developing students’ digital competencies.
In addition, two modern
laboratories were opened. The “Food Technology” laboratory, established at the
initiative of representatives of the scientific community, is aimed at training
specialists in the field of chemical technology and ecology. The laboratory of
heat and mass transfer installations is equipped with modern equipment that
allows conducting applied research and visually studying engineering processes,
significantly enhancing students’ practical training.
The conference continued
in the format of sectional sessions, where more than 200 reports were
presented. Participants discussed a wide range of topics — from nanotechnology
and digitalization to ecology and sustainable development. The conference
included five sections, one of which — “Anti-corruption Principles of ‘Zhanaru’
