KarIU Expands International Cooperation in Scientific Equipment and Research Infrastructure Development

On June 16, 2026, Karaganda Industrial University hosted an information and presentation session entitled “Modern Scientific and Educational Equipment for Universities: Solutions and Prospects for Cooperation”.

The event brought together the university administration, deans, heads of departments, principal investigators of ongoing and prospective research projects, academic staff, researchers, as well as representatives of scientific and educational equipment suppliers – "Martuk Brothers" LLP and "Corrtest Instruments".

The participants were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Karaganda Industrial University. In her address, she emphasized the importance of developing university research infrastructure, strengthening human capital, and increasing the practical impact of scientific research. Particular attention was paid to the commercialization of research outcomes and the integration of modern technologies into both education and scientific activities.

During the session, Askhat Zhumabayev, General Director of Martuk Brothers LLP, together with company representatives, presented modern solutions in the field of scientific, laboratory, and educational equipment. They highlighted new technological opportunities for equipping research centers and laboratories and answered questions from the participants.

A separate presentation was delivered by Mr. Yu Kuai, representative of the Chinese company "Corrtest Instruments". In his report, he introduced participants to advanced electrochemical instruments and integrated hardware-software systems designed for corrosion studies, material characterization, electrochemical system analysis, and evaluation of protective coatings. The presented solutions attracted considerable interest from the university’s research teams working in metallurgy, materials science, energy engineering, and related fields.

The meeting also served as a platform for discussing opportunities for further cooperation in the modernization of laboratory facilities, development of joint scientific and technical projects, enhancement of research infrastructure, and expansion of international collaboration.

Events of this kind contribute to strengthening cooperation between universities, industry, and the scientific community, while creating additional opportunities for the advancement of applied research and the training of highly qualified specialists for the industrial sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
