As part of KarIU's
educational and scientific events, the Metal forming Department holds an annual
methodological week. On Monday, April 13, 2026, a master class
was held on the topic "The use of virtual laboratory work to perform
mechanical tests in solving scientific and educational tasks."
The event was attended by students from various
educational programs, as well as the university's faculty. During the master
class, the capabilities of the virtual laboratory "Mechanical
Testing" were demonstrated when performing digital tests for tension,
compression, torsion and impact bending (determination of impact strength).
The participants got a practical understanding of
modern digital tools used in the educational process and scientific research,
and also discussed the prospects for their use in the training of future
graduates.
