On September 18,
students of Karaganda Industrial University took part in the youth forum “Жастар — Заң мен Тәртіптің тірегі” — “Youth — the Pillar of Law and Order,”
which was held at Academician E. A. Buketov Karaganda National Research
University.
A group of KarIU
students attended the event in person, while other interested students joined
the forum online and followed its proceedings via a live broadcast.
The forum was aimed
at enhancing the legal literacy of young people, fostering respect for the law,
preventing offences, and developing an active civic position.
Representatives of
government bodies, law enforcement agencies, public organizations, and youth
associations addressed the participants. Particular attention was paid to the
prevention of drug-related crimes, as well as their legal and social
consequences. As part of the programme, thematic videos and the “Start with
Yourself” project were presented, followed by an open dialogue and panel
sessions.
Participation in the forum enabled KarIU students to receive important information, ask questions to experts, and discuss the role of young people in strengthening the rule of law and public safety.
