The collection of online courses from Kazakhstan on
Coursera has been expanded with an original course by Karaganda Industrial
University entitled “Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry.” The course is
available in Kazakh.
It is designed for those who are just beginning to
study analytical chemistry. Learners will become familiar with the basic concepts
and objectives of this science, analytical methods, the composition of
solutions, and the principles of chemical equilibrium. The knowledge gained
will help them understand how the composition and properties of substances are
determined and what processes occur in solutions.
The theoretical material is explained in simple and
accessible language. The course uses examples from everyday life, nature,
biological systems, and industrial production, while problems are solved and
explained step by step. This approach helps learners not merely memorize
formulas but also understand the relationship between chemical phenomena and
the underlying principles.
Upon completing the course, learners will be able to
distinguish between the main analytical methods, perform calculations related
to solutions, and examine chemical processes from the perspective of
equilibrium. The course will provide a solid foundation for further study of
specialized disciplines and the development of professional knowledge.
We congratulate the course author and the Karaganda
Industrial University team on the publication of the course on an international
educational platform!
KarIU would like to thank Bilim UpSkill, the Coursera
project partner, for providing consulting and technical support in preparing
and publishing the course.
