On October 19, students of KarIU took part in the roundtable discussion “The Path to Sovereignty” — “Егемендікке бастар жол”. The meeting was organized by the Ethnocultural Association of Qarmet JSC and the Әділет party.
As part of the event, Abil-Said Tileubayev, a lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Disciplines (IKiOD), delivered a lecture. He spoke about important events on Kazakhstan’s path to independence, the significance of the Declaration of State Sovereignty, national unity, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The role of young people in the country’s development was a separate topic of discussion. Participants discussed how education, science, modern technologies, and the training of young specialists help strengthen Kazakhstan’s economic independence. The discussion also highlighted Temirtau’s labor traditions and the contribution of the city’s residents to industrial development.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. Students asked questions, shared their opinions, and tested their knowledge in a historical quiz.
Such meetings help participants learn more about the country’s history and understand that its future depends on the knowledge, hard work, and responsibility of every generation.
