The speaker of the meeting was Elena Petrovna Varganova, Head of the public association “Otrazhenie.” The event was held under the title “From a ‘Green’ Corner to a ‘Green’ University.”
During the meeting, students were offered practical environmental tasks: identifying types of plastic, discussing methods of its recycling, collecting waste paper, and sorting household waste. Moving from one task to another, participants gained new knowledge and useful skills that can be applied in everyday life.
Such interactive activities help to form an environmental culture and increase the level of environmental awareness among young people.
At the end of the event, participants were invited to discuss and identify joint environmental initiatives and projects that could later be implemented at the Karaganda Industrial University. 🌱♻️
