On September 16, Karaganda Industrial University held a large-scale
event with the participation of international students on the topic “Dialogue
of Cultures, Law and Safety.” The meeting was held as part of the
implementation of the state concept “Law and Order” and was aimed at increasing
the legal literacy of young people, strengthening mutual respect among
representatives of different cultures, and creating a safe educational
environment.
The event featured representatives of law enforcement agencies,
government and public organizations, as well as university experts. Police
Captain Anel Abdrakhmanova, UIP GYuP VOP, told students about the basic rules
of safe behavior, responsibility for violating the law, and the importance of
maintaining public order. Particular attention was paid to issues that foreign
nationals may face while studying and living in Kazakhstan.
Didar Alkhamin, Senior Inspector of the Migration Service Department of
the Police Department of the Karaganda Region, explained the main requirements
of migration legislation. Students received useful information about
registration rules, periods of stay, required documents, and liability for
violating established regulations.
Nurkhan Nurmakhanov, a member of the regional information and outreach
group, political scientist, and deputy of the Temirtau City Maslikhat, spoke
about the role of young people in strengthening social harmony. He emphasized
that respect for laws, culture, traditions, and the views of other people is
the foundation of a stable and safe society.
Tolegen Mananbayev, Director of the Center for the Study and Analysis of
Interfaith Relations in the city of Temirtau, addressed issues of interfaith
harmony, respectful attitudes toward representatives of different religions and
cultures, as well as the prevention of the influence of destructive ideas. He
noted the importance of open dialogue, mutual understanding, and a critical
approach to information disseminated on the Internet.
Samal Ibragimova, Head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of
KarIU, spoke about the principles of integrity, academic integrity, and zero
tolerance for corruption. The presentation was held taking into account the
activities provided for in the plan of the Republican Public Association
“Zhanaru.” Students were reminded of the need to comply with legislative
requirements and the university’s internal rules. They were also informed where
they could seek assistance in case of disputes or if signs of corrupt practices
were identified.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. Students had the
opportunity to ask the speakers questions of interest to them and receive
clear, practical recommendations.
