A ceremonial event dedicated to Republic Day was held at Karaganda
Industrial University. Faculty members, staff, students and invited guests
gathered in the university’s assembly hall.
Bakhyt Zhautykov, Chairman of the Board — Rector of KarIU, addressed the
participants with congratulatory remarks. He highlighted the significance of
Republic Day and the university staff’s contribution to specialist training and
the development of education and science.
The event was attended by Alexey Lomakin, a KarIU graduate and public
figure in Temirtau. He congratulated the university staff and students on the
holiday and wished the university further development and new achievements.
One of the key moments of the meeting was a ceremony organized as part
of the university’s cooperation with Bank CenterCredit JSC. Nadezhda Nozdrina,
Deputy Director of the bank’s Karaganda Regional Branch, and Elmira Abisheva,
Director of the Temirtau Branch, presented the university with the novel Elen-Alan
by Abish Kekilbayev, a renowned Kazakh writer and state and public figure. The
70 books will enrich the university library’s collection and be available to
students and faculty members.
The programme continued with an award ceremony. Anel Mendibayeva was
presented with a PhD diploma. The degree was awarded to her in the educational
programme “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances” in accordance with the
order dated 21 October 2026 issued by the Committee for Quality Assurance in
Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of
the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On this day, faculty members and staff who have worked at the university
for many years, conscientiously fulfilled their duties and contributed to the
development of KarIU were also recognized. They received letters of
appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic
of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher
Education, and the Chairman of the Board — Rector of the university.
The performers of the Kalі Baizhanov Concert Association, named after the
People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, created a festive atmosphere for the
participants. Works by Kazakhstani and international composers were performed,
along with vocal and dance numbers. The event concluded with a collective
performance of the song “Atameken”.
