On February 20, a meeting was held at the university between fourth-year students and representatives of the Career Center of Temirtau. The event was organized within the framework of implementing active employment promotion measures and fulfilling the objectives outlined in the Concept for the Development of the Labor Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024–2029.
The meeting became an important platform for dialogue
between future graduates and employment specialists. For final-year students,
this event is particularly relevant, as they are currently at the stage of
professional self-determination and entering the labor market. Such initiatives
help reduce the risk of youth unemployment, increase awareness of state support
opportunities, and provide a clear understanding of employers’ requirements.
The Career Center of Temirtau presented information on
current employment programs, state support measures, opportunities for youth
internship programs, social jobs, subsidized employment programs, as well as
professional training and retraining opportunities. In addition, the center’s
specialists explained the procedure for registering as a job seeker, digital
job search services, and mechanisms for interaction with regional employers.
Special attention was paid to the adaptation of young
professionals in their first workplace, preparation of competitive résumés, and
interview readiness. Students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest
and receive individual consultations.
Holding such meetings strengthens cooperation between
the university and state employment agencies, and enhances graduates’ readiness
for a successful start to their professional careers.
