BEYOND THE UNIVERSITY GATES LIES THE MOST EXCITING JOURNEY

Behind them are lectures, sleepless nights before exams, laboratory work, industrial internships, and the defense of graduation projects. Ahead lie real production challenges, engineering solutions, and responsibility for the results of their work.

For Karaganda Industrial University, each graduating class represents more than the completion of another academic year. It is another chapter in the history of an institution that has been educating highly qualified professionals for Kazakhstan's industrial sector for more than six decades.

Addressing the graduates, Rector Bakhyt Zhautikov emphasized that a diploma is, above all, a testament to perseverance, determination, and a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.

"Each graduating class tells the story of young people who entered our university full of hopes and ambitions and are leaving today as competent professionals, ready to take responsibility for the future of our country," said Bakhyt Zhautikov.

It is symbolic that this year's graduation ceremony took place as the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan came into effect and on the eve of Capital City Day. These events share a common idea—the pursuit of progress. It is the new generation of engineers, metallurgists, power engineers, and IT specialists who will build modern industries, introduce advanced technologies, and strengthen the country's industrial potential.

Today, the labor market requires more than graduates with diplomas. It needs professionals who can think critically, make informed decisions, and take responsibility. These are precisely the qualities that the university strives to cultivate in its students.

Special words of gratitude were expressed to the faculty members, who not only shared their knowledge but also inspired future professionals to believe in themselves. Heartfelt appreciation was also extended to the parents, who shared this memorable and joyful occasion with their children.

The festive atmosphere of the ceremony was enriched by outstanding performances from the artists of the Kali Baizhanov Karaganda Concert Association, who entertained the audience throughout the award presentation.

Another cherished tradition of Karaganda Industrial University occupied a special place during the ceremony. Every year, the university honors its graduates who have achieved professional recognition while continuing to bring distinction to their alma mater and contribute to the development of Temirtau, the Karaganda Region, and Kazakhstan as a whole. In recognition of their achievements, they are presented with the commemorative "Best Graduate" statuette.

This award is more than recognition of professional excellence—it symbolizes the continuity of generations. It reminds today's students that their university journey does not end with graduation but continues through professional accomplishments, responsibility, and dedication to their chosen careers.

This year, the "Best Graduate" award was presented to Yevgeny Petrovich Khitsko, Director for Production System Development at Qarmet JSC. His professional journey is a vivid example of how university-acquired knowledge, combined with hard work, expertise, and determination, becomes the foundation of a successful career and a meaningful contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's industrial sector.

Concluding the ceremony, the Rector addressed the graduates with words that captured the spirit of the entire celebration:

"Receiving your diploma is not the finish line—it is the beginning of a new chapter. Never stop learning, never stop improving, and never be afraid to set ambitious goals."

Today, the graduates of Karaganda Industrial University take their first steps into professional life. Tomorrow, they will design and build industrial facilities, implement innovations, advance manufacturing, and contribute to strengthening Kazakhstan's economy. And the university, as always, will welcome new generations of students, so that one day it can once again say to them: "Bon voyage, and best of luck on your journey!"
