Program Goal

Training of chemical technologists with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of chemical technology of organic substances, based on international standards and national traditions of higher chemical and technological education, ensuring their competitiveness in the labor market.

Program Uniqueness

The uniqueness of the Educational Program 6B07101 “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances” lies in the integration of fundamental chemical training with modern technologies in petrochemistry, organic synthesis, coke-chemical production, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. A distinctive feature of the program is that Karaganda Industrial University is located in the same city as JSC “Qarmet”, one of the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This provides favorable conditions for organizing industrial internships for students of the program. During these internships, students acquire essential professional competencies and practical skills, which contribute to their successful professional development and future employment.

Qualifications and Positions

Qualification requirements and positions are determined in accordance with the “Qualification Handbook of Positions for Managers, Specialists and Other Employees”, approved by Order No. 553 of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2020: • Chemical Technologist; • Process Technician; • Process Supervisor (Master Technologist); • Process Engineer.
