Program Goal

Formation of an integrated system of special knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as the experience of independent activity and personal responsibility of the bachelor in determining the relationship of the structure (composition and structure) of materials and their properties, selection, research, creation and testing of different types of materials.

The educational program 6B07103 “Materials Science and Technology of New Materials” ensures a practice-oriented approach (conducting laboratory and experimental research, development and testing of new materials and technologies for their production), as well as a combination of engineering disciplines and digital competencies (computer modeling of material properties, processing of experimental data, and the application of automation elements and digital technologies in materials science).

The professional field of activity of graduates of this educational program includes production and technological as well as organizational activities at industrial enterprises, as well as research work focused on studying the structure and properties of metallic and non-metallic materials.

Qualifications and positions are defined in accordance with the "Qualification Handbook for Positions of Managers, Specialists and Other Employees" approved by Order No. 553 of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 30.12.2020: - Laboratory Engineer; - Engineer-technologist; - Technologist - thermist; - Construction Engineer.
