Program Description
This double-degree modular educational program was developed jointly with the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Tyumen Industrial University (Tyumen, Russian Federation) and the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company Karaganda Industrial University (Temirtau, Karaganda Region, Republic of Kazakhstan) based on Minutes No. 1 of the joint meeting of the committee on alignment of curricula dated May 27, 2025.

Enrollment and Study Procedure
1. An applicant is admitted only to the educational program 6B07105 “Energy Supply of Industrial Facilities” in the following cases:
if the applicant refuses to study under the double-degree educational program upon admission.
In this case, the student fulfills all the requirements of the educational program with a standard duration of 4 years at Karaganda Industrial University.
Upon successful completion of the final attestation, the student is awarded a Bachelor of Engineering and Technology degree under the educational program 6B07105 “Energy Supply of Industrial Facilities.”
2. An applicant is admitted to the double-degree educational program
6B07105 “Energy Supply of Industrial Facilities” / 13.03.02 “Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering” in the following case:
upon consent to study under the double-degree educational program and successful completion of entrance examinations at both Karaganda Industrial University and Tyumen Industrial University.
In this case, the student fulfills all the requirements of the educational program with a total duration of 4 years, following the 2+2 scheme (two years of study at KarIU and two years at TIU).
The student completes one graduation thesis, the topic of which is jointly approved by KarIU and TIU, and undergoes final attestation offline at one of the universities by mutual agreement, while the examination board of the partner university participates in the thesis defense online.
Upon successful completion of the final attestation, the graduate is awarded two diplomas:
a Bachelor of Engineering and Technology diploma under the educational program 6B07105 “Energy Supply of Industrial Facilities”;
a Bachelor’s diploma in the field of study 13.03.02 “Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering”, profile “Electric Power Supply.”
