Program Goal
Common goal: Training of the masters having the professional competences, installations and values conforming to relevant requirements of local and global market of work, IT having profound skills of application in the sphere of processing of new structural materials with the developed language compe-tence of professional activity.
Program Uniqueness
The uniqueness of the educational program “Technology of Processing New Structural Materials” lies in its strong practical orientation. The program includes industrial training at major enterprises of the region. The disciplines are designed not only on an applied basis but also on a research-oriented approach within the scientific and pedagogical track.Students undergo research practice and scientific internships at leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad. During the preparation of the master’s thesis, special emphasis is placed on experiments and research activities, which contribute to the development of innovative concepts and products.In the learning process, practical assignments, press conferences, and presentations are used to develop students’ creative thinking skills. This, in turn, promotes the adoption of optimal and effective decisions, including non-standard and original solutions.
Professional Activity Sphere
The professional field of graduates of the educational program 7M07101/7M07104 “Technology of Processing New Structural Materials” covers the field of science and engineering related to the management and improvement of existing production processes, as well as research and scientific-pedagogical activities.
Qualifications and Positions
Qualification requirements and positions are determined in accordance with the "Qualification Di-rectory of positions of managers, specialists and other employees" approved by the Order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 553 dated 12/30/2020, on the basis of which the graduate has the right to work at enterprises with powder and com-posite materials processing divisions in the following positions:
Positions of managers: Chief Technologist; Head of Production; Deputy Director (Director, Vice President) for production; Master of the site; Head of the production laboratory (production control); Head of the Quality Control Department; Head of the Patent and Inventive Work Department; Head of the Production Department; Shift Supervisor; Head of the technical Department; Head of the central factory laboratory; Head of the workshop (site); Head of the experimental production workshop; Producer of works.
Positions of specialists: Engineer, Design Engineer (designer), Laboratory Engineer, Tool Engineer, Quality Engineer, Equipment Configuration Engineer, Scientific and Technical Information Engineer, Pa-tent and Inventive Work Engineer, Production Preparation Engineer, Process Engineer (Technologist), Professional Consultant, Assistant Director (General Director, executive director, president, chairman of the management board, managing director) of the organization and other top managers (referent, adviser).
Positions of other employees (technical executors): Codifier.
Positions of managers, technical workers, common to design, technological, design and survey or-ganizations: Head (head) of the research department (department, laboratory) of the Institute, Head (head) of the research sector (laboratory), part of the research department (department, laboratory) of the Institute, (Leading, senior, junior) Researcher, Leading Engineer, Engineer, Expert, Laboratory Assistant.
