Program Goal

Preparation of masters who are ready for innovations in research and practical activities on the development of new technologies and alternative methods of production of modern materials for the metallurgical and machine-building industries in the context of global and integration processes in science and production

Program Uniqueness

The EP 7M07109 “Materials Science and Nanotechnology of Materials” (professional track) is focused on practice-oriented training for industry and provides advanced competencies in modern materials processing, modification and strengthening technologies, application of nanotechnological solutions and engineering modeling, and integration of applied computational methods with modern material characterization and quality control tools to solve industrial and technological tasks.

Graduates from the master's programme are engaged in industrial, technological, research and organisational work as leading specialists in engineering and management positions in industrial enterprises, as well as in teaching activities in higher and secondary educational establishments.

Qualifications and Positions

Qualifications and positions are determined in accordance with the "Qualification reference book of managers, specialists and other employees" approved by the Order of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2020 No. 553: - Chief Engineer; - Chief Technologist; - Head of the workshop (section); - Manufacturing engineer (technologist); - Junior research assistant.
