Program Goal

Training of masters who are ready for innovation in research and practical activities, possessing systemic knowledge in the field of modern thermal power technologies, energy saving and energy efficiency improvement, taking into account modern technological, economic and environmental requirements.

Program Uniqueness

The educational program is aimed at training master’s graduates of a scientific and pedagogical profile who are able to effectively combine engineering, research, and teaching activities both in traditional energy and in modern energy-efficient technologies. Special emphasis is placed on developing the competencies of a teacher-researcher who is proficient in digital and AI tools for analysis, modeling, improving energy efficiency, and optimizing enterprise energy consumption.

Professional Activity Sphere

The professional field of graduates of the educational programme 7M07116 «Heat power engi-neering and energy efficient technologies» includes the design, operation, modernization, and research of thermal power systems and installations, as well as the implementation of energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies at industrial enterprises, in public utility organizations, energy companies, research and design institutes, and governmental bodies in the energy sector.

Based on the qualification reference book of positions for managers, specialists, and other em-ployees (approved by Order No. 553 dated December 30, 2020), graduates of the Master’s degree pro-gramme 7M07116 «Heat power engineering and energy efficient technologies» may hold the following qualifications and positions: - Power Engineer – without category, Category II, Category I; - Energy Manager (Energy Auditor); - Engineer for the Operation of Power Equipment; - Thermal Power Engineer; - Commissioning and Testing Engineer; - Chief Power Engineer; - Chief Engineer; - University Lecturer; - Heat Supply Systems Design Engineer.
