General Information

The Center for Sustainable Development and Green Technologies was established at Karaganda Industrial University within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Green Deal for Central Asian Universities (GDCAU)”, which aims to promote the principles of sustainable development and support the ecological transformation of the university environment in Central Asia. Within the project, similar centers are being established at all participating universities from Central Asian countries. Their goal is to create an institutional platform for promoting environmental awareness, implementing green technologies, and supporting educational and research initiatives related to sustainable development. The Center serves as a platform for implementing educational and research projects, organizing trainings, seminars, and awareness-raising events aimed at increasing environmental awareness among students and university staff. Special attention is given to integrating sustainable development principles into educational programs, developing interdisciplinary research, and strengthening cooperation with industrial enterprises and public organizations. The activities of the Center also focus on strengthening international cooperation, facilitating the exchange of experience among partner universities, and promoting sustainable development practices in the academic environment. The establishment of such centers helps unite educational, scientific, and public initiatives aimed at building an environmentally responsible society and preparing specialists capable of developing and implementing modern green solutions for industry and the economy.
