Monograph Abstract (Brief Description):
The monograph summarizes research devoted to the development of new technologies and equipment for improving the main physical and mechanical properties of road construction materials produced from metallurgical waste, specifically air-cooled blast furnace slag. The book describes a newly developed and patented technology for improving the properties of slag crushed stone through comprehensive treatment, including preliminary beneficiation by selective crushing and impregnation of the crushed stone particles that remain intact with a water-repellent composition. An experimental evaluation of the effect of the proposed material treatment technology on its physical and mechanical properties is presented.
The monograph will be useful for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students in the field of Engineering and Engineering Trades, university and college lecturers, as well as engineers, researchers, and technical specialists working at construction enterprises.
