Karaganda Industrial University tirelessly cares about the well-being and healthy lifestyle of students and staff, takes care of improving social and living conditions. The University has two comfortable dormitories with the redevelopment of some rooms for small-family apartments for staff, undergraduates, and family students.
The total area of the dormitories is 10471 m2. Students live in rooms for 2-4 people. The university provides places in the dormitory for all those in need. For students on a budget, this rule is fully implemented; for students under a contract, the university provides a dormitory on a contractual basis, subject to availability.
The entrance to the CarIU dormitories is open for students until 22:00 hours. Guest visits to dormitories are limited to 23.00 hours, except for the time of examination sessions, when visiting dormitories by guests is strictly prohibited.
All dormitories are equipped with a modern video surveillance system, security and an automatic fire alarm system with a signal output to the central control room of the University. Regular exercises are conducted to ensure that students living in dormitories comply with fire safety regulations.
To date, there have been no problems in providing students, doctoral students and undergraduates with places in university dormitories.
The social and living conditions of the students in the dormitory are under the constant supervision of the university administration.
The entire economic part of the dormitory is managed by the head of the dormitory. He is engaged in the delivery of furniture and inventory, provides necessary repairs to residential premises. The head of the dormitory organizes the work of the commandants on duty. Bed linen, if there is a settlement order, can be obtained from the commandants under personal responsibility. Bed linen is exchanged 2 times a week.
Nonresident students enrolled in KarIU to study, according to the terms of the tuition fee agreement and who have permanent registration outside Temirtau, if there is a free housing stock, places in the dormitory are provided with accommodation.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, use heaters and stoves in dormitories.
