The Sustainable Development Policy of Karaganda Industrial University defines the key principles and priorities of the University’s activities in the areas of social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and effective governance. The Policy is aimed at integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into the educational, research, and managerial activities of KarIU. The implementation of the Policy ensures the formation of an inclusive, safe, and sustainable university environment and contributes to the long-term development of the University and society.
Student-centred learning (Student-centred Approach in Education) is a fundamental principle of the Bologna reforms in higher education, which involves shifting the focus of the educational process from teaching (as the primary role of academic staff in the “transmission” of knowledge) to learning, understood as the active educational engagement of the student.
The Academic Policy of Karaganda Industrial University defines the fundamental principles of educational process organization, the rights and obligations of students, knowledge assessment procedures, and academic mobility mechanisms.
