The College of Technology and Economics is a structural subdivision of the Non-profit Joint Stock Company Karaganda Industrial University and carries out its activities under the college-university continuing education system.
The College of Technology and Economics at KarIU has been implementing technical and vocational education programs since September 2016 and is a modern, dynamically developing college that operates on the basis of the state general education standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and meets the highest requirements for technical and vocational educational institutions.
In accordance with the state license, the college carries out educational activities in 9 specialties:

• 04110100 "Accounting and audit" – qualification: economist – accountant and 7 technical specialties: • 07130400 "Technical equipment and heat supply systems" – qualification: heat technician, • 07130700 "Technical operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electromechanical equipment" – qualification: electromechanic, • 07161300 "Maintenance, repair and operation of motor transport" – qualification: mechanical technician, • 07151300 "Metallurgy of ferrous metals" – qualification: metallurgist technician, • 06130100 "Software (by type)" – qualification: Software developer, • 07320100 "Construction and operation of buildings and structures" – qualification: construction technician, • 07151100 "Industrial machinery and equipment operation" – qualification: mechanical technician. "Our experts are a confidence in the future!" The college is based on grades 9 and 11, with the state and Russian language of instruction, full-time and part–time forms of education. The educational institution has created all the conditions and a certain material and technical base for extracurricular work with students. The training is conducted by state order and on a contractual basis. According to the results of the attestation commission of the Department of Education Control of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the College of Technical Economics has passed the state certification in the above-mentioned specialties, since the educational service of the College of Technology and Economics fully meets the requirements of state mandatory standards, including the results of the assessment of students' knowledge and skills. In order to ensure the principle of accessibility of technical and vocational education for certain categories and segments of the population, social support is provided to students in the form of tuition discounts, grants for training. Currently, 396 college students are enrolled by state order, 270 students are enrolled on a fee-based basis. College students use the library, reading room, computer labs, educational laboratories and the university's sports and recreation complex. After graduating from college, students have the opportunity to enroll in related specialties at Karaganda Industrial University and other higher education institutions in a shortened form of study – 2.5 years full-time.
