While having no direct influence on marine ecosystems, the University contributes to achieving this goal through educational, research, and awareness-raising activities. Educational programs and scientific research address issues of ecology, the sustainable use of natural resources, and environmental protection, including aquatic ecosystems. The University fosters a responsible attitude towards nature among students and staff and upholds environmental culture and principles of rational natural resource management, thereby contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals in a global context
