Alem.ai becomes a platform for international dialogue in the Year of Digitalization

The guests familiarized themselves with the center's infrastructure and Kazakhstani solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

The visit took place within the framework of the UN ESCAP Special Working Group on the creation of the Digital Solutions Center and was a continuation of the discussions initiated in September 2024 at the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation. At that time, an initiative was put forward to form a Regional Center for Digital Solutions of UN ESCAP in Almaty.

Such international initiatives continue the course set by the Head of State. This year for the country is about real steps in digital development: we are consistently implementing technologies, developing infrastructure, and expanding the use of artificial intelligence in the economy and public administration.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Kazakhstan Jaslan Madiyev presented the participants of the meeting with the concept of Exponential Cluster and a comprehensive approach to the development of the industry.

“We are developing artificial intelligence as a unified ecosystem — from the institutional framework to the computational infrastructure and staff training. This approach allows not only creating technologies but also implementing them in the economy, public administration, and the social sphere. Our task is to ensure the scaling of AI solutions and their practical applicability at the regional level. We are open to sharing experience and jointly developing technological initiatives within international cooperation,” – Jaslan Madiyev noted.

During the visit, the delegation was presented with the key spaces of alem.ai. The introduction to the theme of artificial intelligence began at the Museum of Singularity, which reflects the evolution of AI — from 17th-century philosophical ideas to modern neural network and generative models. The exposition includes interactive locations demonstrating the capabilities of modern technologies.

The practical application of AI was presented in the Smart City zone — as a tool for managing urban infrastructure, including solutions in the field of smart mobility, energy, and public safety. In the immersive AI Cinema with a 180° projection, the delegation familiarized themselves with content created on the platform of the first Kazakhstani technological unicorn, Higgsfield AI.

A separate block was dedicated to GovTech solutions, space industry projects, and developments by the USTEM Foundation. Humanoid robots and robotic systems based on artificial intelligence demonstrated the performance of various tasks in real time.

Special attention was paid to startups — participants of the Astana Hub, oriented towards international markets. Among the presented initiatives: Weglobal AI — an AI-based platform to optimize the work of school psychologists and career counselors; NCSpeech — decentralized AI infrastructure allowing the formation of high-quality datasets for training artificial intelligence; AMAN — a service for prompt notification and response to threats to children's safety; Armeta AI — an intelligent platform for automating expert evaluation and approval of construction projects; WONK — a unified school management AI platform with analytics tools and process automation.

The visit confirmed the high interest of international partners in the development of digital solutions in Kazakhstan and the country's potential as a regional platform for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
