Students of all majors in Kazakhstan will now be taught the basics of artificial intelligence, as announced by the Government's press service, reported by Bizmedia.kz.
"Disciplines on artificial intelligence have
become mandatory for all students, regardless of their specialty," the
statement reads.
Requirements for diplomas and dissertations have also
been updated.
Teachers will also receive additional training so that
they understand these subjects and can navigate their delivery.
"To train personnel for the implementation of
this initiative, we have established the necessary regulatory and legal
framework. Disciplines on artificial intelligence have become mandatory for all
students, regardless of their specialty," said Minister of Science and
Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek.
