Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report by Sayasat Nurbek on the priority areas of the department's activities and the implementation of strategic initiatives in the field of science and higher education, inbusiness reports.kz with a link to Akorda.
During the meeting,
the Minister informed the head of state about the realization of the potential
of the new Constitution in the field of higher education and science. He
presented measures to create an ecosystem of human capital development and
launch an end-to-end talent management system.
The Minister also
reported on the results of the labor market research and the forecast of the
need for personnel until 2030. An important aspect of the report was measures
to expand access to higher education, including the introduction of the
"Keleshek" mechanism and a new financing model for the industry.
Sayasat Nurbek
announced information about the implementation of the AI-Sana national movement
and the launch of the AI-Enabled University project, a new type of industrial
university that integrates artificial intelligence into educational and
production processes. Within the framework of this initiative, it is also
planned to create knowledge-intensive territories, including innovation
clusters and science cities.
The Minister
informed about the systematic transition to the development model of DeepTech
and complex industries, emphasizing the key importance of cooperation between
universities and regional akimats to identify technological challenges and
promising niches. The mechanism includes conducting research and development
work, creating industrial designs and launching production facilities.
The implementation
of reforms aimed at improving scientific policy continues. The agency pays
special attention to government support for scientists, including grants,
research internships, awards, and housing for young scientists.
At the end of the
meeting, the head of state gave a number of instructions aimed at improving the
quality of higher education, developing scientific research and their
commercialization, stimulating innovation, developing infrastructure, and improving
the quality of branches of foreign universities.
