Project Goal:
To strengthen the capacity of Central Asian universities in sustainable development, the green economy, and digitalization through the creation of Green Deal Centers, the modernization of academic programs, and the enhancement of cooperation between universities, businesses, and society.
Main tasks:
- creation and development of a network of Green Deal Centers (GDC) at universities in Central Asia;
- introduction of academic courses and master’s programs on sustainable development, ESG, and green technologies;
- professional development of teachers and engagement of students in practical and research projects;
- development of partnerships between universities and businesses to support green innovation;
- dissemination of project results and promotion of green transformation principles in Central Asia.
Expected Results:
- establishment of fully equipped Green Deal Centers (GDC) and launch of their digital pages linked to the GDCAU.eu project website;
- development and implementation of 2 new academic courses and revision of at least 8 existing courses in the field of sustainable development;
- creation of a joint master’s program and submission for national accreditation;
- training of 1–2 teachers from each university in Europe and at least 20 teachers locally;
- involvement of at least 500 students in new or updated courses;
- organization of at least 200 internships and 20 student mobilities (including virtual);
- establishment of cooperation with at least 3 external partners and training of at least 10 representatives from non-academic sectors;
- publication of at least 30 materials and 4 social media posts about the project;
- submission of a joint project application to the EU (a new project);
- outreach to at least 1000 people through events, publications, and training.
