On September 12, the Youth House hosted a meeting between entrepreneurs of Temirtau and the Republican People's Headquarters for the Construction of Nuclear Power Plants. In a Message to the People of Kazakhstan dated September 2, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev initiated a national referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan and named the date of its holding – October 6, 2024. The participants of the meeting agreed that in order to ensure the legitimacy of the vote, everyone should show their civic duty and make their choice.
