Since the beginning of September, the University has been hosting a series of open lectures, seminars and trainings by Professor Riad Taha Al-kasasbeh of The Jordan University of Applied Sciences (The Jordan University) in Amman, Jordan, for undergraduates, students and faculty of the Faculty of Energy, Transport and Management Systems of NPJSC KarIU.
On September 6, 2024, an extended meeting of the Departments of Energy and Artificial Intelligence Technology was held with the participation of Professor Riad Taha Al-kasasbeh, where plans for further cooperation and the schedule of the educational process were discussed.
The purpose of the lectures is to form a high level of professional competence of undergraduates and students of the educational programs "Electric Power Engineering", "Energy supply of industrial facilities", "Thermal power engineering of industrial enterprises and housing and communal services", "Software Engineering", "Automation systems Engineering" based on knowledge of the discipline "Analog electronics" (Analog electronic).
- Today, no industry can do without electronics, - explains Professor Riad Taha. - I conduct my course of lectures in English and use American literature – these are the most modern textbooks. At first it was difficult for students, but then they began to get used to textbooks and new terminology. Now they are showing interest. Every day I increase the workload, but the students are coping. And I am very happy to keep in touch with them until the end of the course. I am glad that I had the opportunity to get acquainted with Karaganda Industrial University and contribute to the training of future professionals.
According to the professor, international cooperation is a vital component of the activities of higher education institutions. It demonstrates the work of the university and sets the standards of world leaders in the study of advanced trends and new knowledge, without which it is impossible to imagine modern education.
Such cooperation gives universities the opportunity to share their experience in management, research, and administrative processes, and it is also an opportunity for university staff to apply new ideas, solutions, and systems in their activities.
- Now all scientific communities are striving to interact with the world's leading experts from universities in different countries. This allows us to jointly solve hot problems in all sectors related to human life. Joint efforts are being made to monitor the current situation, monitor its development, which allows us to find the optimal solution to the problem as quickly as possible. The world funds allocate enormous funding for serious research," continues Professor Riad Taha. – My university, The Jordan Uiversity, holds a high rank, it is among the 500 best universities in the world. And we are interested in partnering with KarIU. This will allow us to exchange teachers, and students will have the opportunity to do internships in both America and Jordan.
Professor Riad Taha Al-kasasbeh received a Master's degree in Engineering and a PhD in Biological and electronic equipment management from the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University of LETI. He continued his research at the University of Constance (Germany). He currently holds the position of professor at the University of Jordan. He is a prolific researcher and co-author of over 120 articles published in reputable journals and conferences, including Springer, IEEE, Taylor & Francis, IASTED, Inderscience and Elsevier. Professor Riad Taha Al-kasasbeh has worked as a visiting professor at several universities, including the University of Philadelphia, the University of Constance (Germany) (HTWG), the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MEI). He also worked as a DFG researcher at HTWG. His research interests cover a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, biomedical instrumentation, biophysics, acupuncture, fuzzy decision logic, medical and environmental information systems, and ergonomics. He is a popular speaker at international conferences, where he presents his innovative work. The contribution of Professor Riad Taha Al-kasasbeh to this field includes the development of new clinical methods for the prediction and diagnosis of heart and stomach diseases. He also developed tools for determining the level of psycho-emotional stress of human-machine system operators using bioactive points based on the rules of fuzzy logic. In addition, he successfully manages research projects that conduct scientific research for both local and international industry, as well as medical departments and organizations.
As a result of the cooperation, consultations will be held on various academic and scientific issues.
