Student participation in various scientific competitions is an important aspect of modern higher education. As part of these competitive events, students have the opportunity to present the results of their research, as well as to get acquainted with the areas of scientific interests of their peers. In November 2023, the LXI international competition of laboratory, graphic, computational and practical work for students, undergraduates and students of secondary schools was held on the digital educational platform «Digital Science» (Saratov), in which Nikita Shakhov, a student of the OMD-21 group, took part. As part of this competition, he presented a unique development - a virtual laboratory work «Studying the tensile testing of metals». This scientific work was conducted under the supervision of Kuzminova Nadezhda and Ibraeva Akzharkyn, senior lecturers of the Department of Metal forming at Karaganda Industrial University. According to the results of the competition, N. Shakhov was awarded the 2nd place.
