On April 29, the Karaganda Industrial University hosted the city creative conference "Memory of Generations. 80 years of the Great Victory", dedicated to the significant date — the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.The purpose of the event is to preserve historical memory and transfer knowledge about the Great Victory from generation to generation. The conference was attended by schoolchildren, college students and the university itself. It brought together the young residents of Temirtau, who are not indifferent to the history of their country, the fate of the war heroes and the memory of the great feat of the people.
The conference began with the presentation of blue Victory ribbons to the participants, a national symbol of memory and pride for the contribution of the Kazakh people to the victory over fascism.
The conference was organized into three thematic sections:
- Section 1 — stories with presentations about grandfathers and grandmothers who participated in the Great Patriotic War. The participants shared family stories, letters from the front, archival photographs and relics.
- Section 2 — recitation of poems dedicated to the war. There were both works by famous poets and author's poems by schoolchildren and students themselves.
- Section 3 — performance of songs from the war years, which created an atmosphere of heroism and bright memory in the hall.
The organizers of the conference are the Department of "History of Kazakhstan and General Education disciplines", the Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy of the NAO "Karaganda Industrial University" with the support of the Youth Resource Center of Temirtau. The speaker was the teacher Abil-Sayd Tileubaev.
The conference was not only a tribute to the heroic deeds of veterans and home front workers, but also an important contribution to the patriotic education of young people. The participants of the event showed keen interest, demonstrated deep respect for the history of their country and their willingness to preserve the memory of the Great Victory.
