At Karaganda Industrial University (KARIU), a lecture series by Dr. Mohamad Syazli Fathi, Associate Professor and Department Head at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), has commenced. His research interests include construction management, construction informatics, project management, and sustainable development.
Dr. Syazli has held important positions at UTM, including Deputy Dean for Research and Deputy Director for Occupational Health and Safety. He leads a research team focused on construction quality and mentors academic staff.
He is internationally recognized and lectures at the University of Salford (UK), Karaganda Industrial University, and Meiji University (Japan). He collaborates with universities and institutions in Malaysia, the UK, Vietnam, and China.
Dr. Syazli frequently presents at international conferences, discussing topics such as construction digitalization, Industry 4.0, and the application of artificial intelligence in occupational safety. He participates in student competitions and provides consultation on sustainable development in construction.
His practical experience includes leading the telemedicine project “Multimedia Super Corridor” in Malaysia and participating in disaster risk reduction programs in cooperation with the International Federation of Red Cross.
Professor Syazli’s lectures give students the opportunity to learn about modern technologies and global trends in construction and project management, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare for a successful professional career.
Dr. Syazli’s visit strengthens KARIU’s international cooperation, expands opportunities for students and faculty, and facilitates the integration of advanced technologies into the educational process.
