КARIU STUDENTS EXCHANGE PLASTIC FOR GIFTS
On October 21, an action was held at Karaganda Industrial University within the framework of the republican project “Taza of Kazakhstan”. The students actively participated in collecting and handing over empty plastic bottles for recycling, showing a high level of environmental responsibility.
The campaign is held on an ongoing basis and has already become one of the favorite initiatives of the students. The organizers provided pleasant rewards for participation: for handing over 5 bottles, participants received chocolates and badges, and those who collected 12 or more could receive surprise gifts, including eco—bags and thermoses.
The organizers of the action were student activists themselves, participants of the volunteer center “Shanyrak”. Thanks to their activity, it was possible to fill four large containers for collecting plastic. The event was accompanied by a full-length Ekosha doll, which attracted attention and lifted the mood of the participants.
— We believe that such actions are very important for the formation of an ecological culture among young people, — the students noted. — Often people don’t think about where they throw plastic and what harm it does to the environment. Our goal is to show that everyone can contribute to nature conservation and make it simple and enjoyable.
The action at Karaganda Industrial University has become a vivid example of how the student community can make a real contribution to the environmental well-being of the country. Thanks to the regular initiatives of volunteers and the support of the university, more and more young people are becoming aware of environmental issues and actively participate in their solution.
