On January 29, the Vice-Rector for Research of KarIU, O.B. Kenzhaliev, the Head of the Department of Energy, S.N. Kamarova, as well as Associate Professor of the Department of Energy, V.M. Druzhinin, visited the operational site of the wind power plant located in the village of Osakarovka, Karaganda Region. During the meeting, current issues related to the development of renewable energy sources, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the practical application of scientific developments in the construction of wind energy facilities were discussed. A key outcome of the meeting was the achievement of an agreement on mutual cooperation with Hyperborea LLP (Osakarovka). The parties expressed their interest in further collaboration, joint implementation of scientific and applied projects, as well as the development of educational and research initiatives. Such meetings strengthen the link between science, education, and business, creating a solid foundation for the introduction of modern engineering solutions and the formation of innovative potential. The participants noted the importance of such projects for the sustainable development of the region, reducing environmental impact, and training qualified engineering specialists. KarIU continues to actively support projects aimed at the development of “green” energy and the expansion of scientific cooperation. The university operates the Green Energy Center, established within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project, which serves as an important platform for conducting scientific research, implementing innovative developments, and training specialists in the field of renewable energy sources.
