On February 4, a significant event took place at the Karaganda Industrial University — an open dialogue between the Temirtau city Prosecutor’s Office and student youth as part of the campaign “Law and order begins with me.” The purpose of the meeting is to form a conscious attitude towards law and order among young people, as well as to clarify the ideology of “Law and Order” underlying the state concept of legal education.
The speakers at the event were Temirtau Prosecutor Myrzagali Dastan, Deputy Prosecutor Bektas Omarbekov, heads of departments of the Temirtau Prosecutor’s office Darkhan Dulatov and Berik Rambekov, who spoke in detail about their work to protect the legitimate interests of citizens, prevent offenses and the need to comply with constitutional norms. Special attention was paid to the importance of the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which enshrines the rights and duties of citizens, as well as enshrines the principles of responsibility for violations of the law. The prosecutors stressed that it is important for the younger generation not only to know their rights, but also to understand the responsibility for their implementation, as well as the role of the state in ensuring law and order.
In his speech, the rector of KarIU Bakhyt Zhautikov noted the active role of the university in the implementation of the concept of “Law and Order”. He stressed that the educational institution is not limited only to the academic training of students, but also actively participates in the legal education of young people, the formation of a civic position and the development of socially responsible behavior. University programs are aimed at developing students’ skills in law-abiding behavior, the ability to make decisions in the legal field and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the public interest.
During the dialogue, students had the opportunity to ask questions to representatives of the prosecutor’s office, discuss specific situations from practice, and also receive practical recommendations on the prevention of offenses. The prosecutors emphasized the need for personal responsibility of each citizen, the role of youth in maintaining law and order, and the importance of forming a legal culture from an early age.
The main objective of the event is to increase the legal literacy of the student audience, form a stable social position, and encourage active participation of young people in society based on compliance with the law and ethical standards. The participants agreed that the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept is impossible without close cooperation between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that such events contribute to strengthening trust between young people and government agencies, create a sense of responsibility for compliance with laws and contribute to the successful implementation of the tasks set by the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The students expressed their willingness to actively participate in legal education initiatives and promote the principles of law-abiding behavior among their peers.
Thus, the open dialogue of the Temirtau city Prosecutor’s Office with the student youth has become an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, strengthening legal culture and promoting the state ideology of “Law and Order”, confirming that the formation of legal awareness of young citizens is a key element of a safe and stable society.
