On January 26 of this year, at Karaganda Industrial University, a nurse of the Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy, together with employees of polyclinic No. 1, Temirtau held a preventive meeting with the participation of university students on the topic “ Measles. Symptoms, treatment, prevention, vaccination.” The speakers of the meeting were the deputy director of polyclinic No. 1 Baidildaev Didar Torekhanovich, expert doctor Aydynbekova Zeynesh Tusupovna and expert doctor Sharipova Gulnar Tekeshevna.
During the meeting, they talked about the ways measles occurs, the first symptoms, ways to prevent it and how to avoid it.
Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by a virus. The measles virus is easily spread through breathing, coughing, or sneezing by an infected person. Infection can cause serious illness, complications, and even death.
The most effective and reliable method of measles prevention is vaccination and vaccine prophylaxis – planned and emergency. Vaccinated individuals practically do not suffer from measles. The vaccine is very effective!!!!
It should be noted that in our country, pre-vaccination is carried out twice for a child, at 12 months and on a planned free basis at the age of 6 years, the immunity of those vaccinated twice is 95%. Emergency vaccination is carried out no later than 72 hours after the last contact with the patient.
