On February 20 of this year, a meeting with theologians of the regional information and explanatory group on religious affairs was held at Karaganda Industrial University. The theme of the event was devoted to the harm and consequences of alien currents in religion. The speaker of the meeting was Berik Muratovich Burkitbai, Chief theologian of KSU “Center for Research and Expertise of Interfaith Relations in Temirtau".
During the event, the following aspects were discussed: the harm of foreign currents; tips on how to avoid them; about the harmful consequences of foreign currents; religious, philosophical and political currents that have arisen in Islamic and Muslim communities.
It should be noted that the increase in the number of people driven by alien religious movements is due to the low or insufficient religious literacy of the general population. Radicals of negative trends often try to attract young people with little life experience, intolerant of temporary difficulties, and with superficial religious literacy. After all, they know perfectly well that an uneducated person is naive, obedient, trusting, imitative. Most of the deceivers of other people's movements do not have religious literacy at all. And in our religion, knowledge is of particular importance.
Any destructive religious movement is dangerous because the principles of its actions are based not on creation, but on destruction.
Please be vigilant, attentive to yourself and your loved ones!
