Based on the results of competitions for grant funding for secondary and scientific and technical projects for 2024-2026, held by the Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 5 projects developed at the Karaganda Industrial University were approved for funding.
1) AP23485002 «Development of technology for smelting silicon ferroalloys using substandard technogenic raw materials” (supervisor – PhD, head of the department of «Metallurgy and Materials Science» Erzhanov Almas Satybaldyevich);
2) АР23490490 «Study of the possibility of obtaining high-manganese slags from substandard ferromanganese ores of Kazakhstan with selective reduction of iron with hydrogen gas» (supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nurumgaliev Asylbek Khabadashevich);
3) АР22786668 «Scientific basis for producing sustainable asphalt concrete with improved physical and mechanical characteristics based on metallurgical and silicon production waste» (supervisor – PhD, director of the department of science, innovation and international cooperation – Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Kunaev;
4) АР22685917 «Thermodynamic modeling of the smelting process of silicon-aluminum master alloys based on manganese and chromium» (supervisor – postdoctoral fellow Erekeeva Gauhar Sarsengalikyzy);
5) AP22683270 «Development of technology for smelting manganese ferroalloys using substandard ferromanganese-containing raw materials» (superviser Akhmetov Begzat Aitkenovich).
The total volume of project financing for 3 years is 418.6 million tenge.
Thanks to support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, over the past 3 years, the volume of funding for research work has increased significantly at our university. Currently, in KarIU employees are implementing 22 scientific grant funding projects totaling more than 1.2 billion tenge.
The topics of the won scientific projects of scientists from Karaganda Industrial University are mainly aimed at solving complex problems in industries.
