On October 29, a dialogue platform "Volunteering as the meaning of life" was held on the КarIU platform. The initiator of the event was the NGO "Temirtau Youth Club". Its chairman and representative of the volunteer club "Shanyrak" Yerzhanova Aigerim Nurkhanatovna told the students what volunteers do and how to become them.
Volunteers are people who voluntarily engage in charitable activities without receiving money and financial benefits. They are willing to donate their time, efforts and skills to help those in need, support social and environmental initiatives, and promote public well-being.
The positive aspects of volunteering:
- Assistance to society. Volunteers are actively involved in solving various social problems, improving life in their city, region or country.
- The formation of values. Volunteering educates citizens to have the right attitude towards the elderly, children with disabilities and other vulnerable groups of society.
- Creating a community of like-minded people. Volunteer organizations bring together many people who share common values and goals, helping to create a community of active citizens of Russia.
- Personal development. Participation in volunteer activities contributes to the development of leadership skills, social skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
It is worth noting separately that today volunteering has already become a powerful tool for positive changes both in our city and in the whole country. Every year the movement increases its importance, strengthening mutual understanding and solidarity in society.
