A preventive event was held in КarIU with the participation of police officers

KarIU students were told about how to resist fraudsters, what are the dangers of drugs and what threatens drug crimes. On October 29, explanatory work with young people took place at the university. Representatives of law enforcement agencies touched upon the most relevant topics to date and answered students' questions.

The speakers were the senior commissioner of the department for combating drug crime of the Temirtau UP, police Major Zaletova Alexandra Anatolyevna and the operative of the criminal police Department of the Eastern OP, Senior police Lieutenant Uristanbekov Damir Ruslanovich.

Alexandra Zaletova spoke about the dangers of drug use, the inevitability of administrative and criminal liability for any actions related to drug trafficking. The speaker paid special attention to such facts as the application of pro-drug inscriptions, graffiti, posters and the dissemination of prohibited information on the Internet. Using examples from practice, the drug policeman said that the price of the promised illegal easy earnings is actually not a small term of imprisonment and broken human destinies.

Damir Uristanbekov, in turn, explained how the most popular online fraud schemes work today. In particular, he drew attention to the danger of involuntary assistance in "laundering" illegally obtained funds or so-called droppery. Separately, the policeman reminded the students about such a service as a voluntary waiver of loans, which can be issued in a matter of seconds on the e-government website.

For a more thorough perception of useful information, police officers' speeches were accompanied by thematic videos, slides and diagrams. In addition, during the event, information booklets were distributed to students, as well as qualified answers to all questions and statements within the framework of the "free microphone".

In total, more than 150 students of Karaganda Industrial University took part in the event.
